• Carl & Maya Gilles

In 2005 Maya visited a Haitian orphanage where she sensed the confirmation of her call to missions in Haiti. A year later, by God's providence, she married Carl whose desire was to return to his country. In May 2007 Carl and Maya were appointed to long-term missionary service to Haiti. Carl and Maya equip Christian believers to be effective in both their general and specific callings, so that they can impact their families, communities, country, and the world for Christ. They have been doing training in Haiti since 2009.

  • luvHAITI MicroBank

Beginning in 2012, luvHAITI, working with Global Parners, launched a microloan program to provide economic opportunity in Haiti. The program operates through local churches, beginning with Petionville Wesleyan Church under the leadership of Pastor Jeannot Chataigne. By providing training in business skills and initial financial backing, luvHAITI MicroBank enables Haitians to create businesses and provide for themselves and their families.

  • Compassion International

As the world’s leading Christian child development ministry, Compassion is committed to eliminating the root causes of poverty for children around the globe. Individuals at Deep Water sponsor dozens of children from Haiti (and specifically the Island of La Gonave, where we have our main focus) through Compassion, and we partner with them on the ground in Haiti whenever possible.
