Discipleship is being with Jesus, learning from Jesus, and becoming like Jesus, together.
Something really good happens when we intentionally gather in our neighbourhoods to share life, grow deeper spiritual friendships, and talk about how we can live Jesus-centred lives, all while we invite others to join us. That’s why we meet during the week in homes to develop relationships, put into practice what we’ve been hearing from God, and care for one another and our neighbourhoods.
WHAT IS HOME CHURCH?
The church is not a place, a name, a building, or a program. The church is people. Simply put, Home Church is how we live out the way of Jesus together. In the early church, Jesus’ disciples met intentionally from house to house, reading Scripture, breaking bread, praying together, and celebrating life in Jesus. Together, they gave themselves fully to Jesus and His coming Kingdom. 2000 years later, we are committing ourselves to the same thing. For us, it’s all about everyday, ordinary people committed to living out Kingdom life together; in living rooms, coffee shops, dorm rooms, and wherever people can gather. Ultimately, our desire is for Home Church to become part of our regular rhythm.
JOIN A HOME CHURCH
Our Home Churches meet regularly throughout the week all across the Halifax region. In these gatherings, we encourage each other in our spiritual growth, learn about Jesus together, and care for one another and our neighbourhoods.
