Nicaragua Update!

Good news! Funds Deep Water Church sent to our partners in Nicaragua to launch a new church have finally resulted in them getting a deed-in-hand! They will now be doing the next phase of fundraising and starting to build. The key missionary family there, the Schmitzs have been keeping safe but nevertheless very active amidst Covid-19, severe flooding, a family move back to Managua, and then hurricanes Eta & Iota that inflicted tremendous damage and suffering in Nicaragua this past fall. They have stepped up to meet the needs by opening the existing church to house and feed the community, sent teams to provide fresh water/pump out contaminated wells and rebuilt destroyed homes in an indigenous community. Finally, after completing required repairs and upgrades, government approval was received for the opening of the 1st high school in the community this coming February! Please keep the Schmitz family in your prayers as they continue to be God’s love there.
