Thankful Hearts During Crisis

July 20, 2020

Our ReachOut partners in Petionville, Haiti have been given the go-ahead from their government to start holding church services again, but the spread of COVID-19 is still very much an issue. They are now holding three church services per week to better accommodate social distancing. This places additional strain on staff, but they are still thankful to be able to meet face-to-face. In light of this, they are asking for prayer in two specific areas:

  1. Thanksgiving to God for the 25th anniversary of the church in the month of August. The pandemic makes it difficult to have activities but they still intend to praise God and mark the occasion.

  2. They are planting a new church in another neighbourhood of Petionville where they already have more than ten baptized members, plus children. They hope to start implementing an evangelization plan this September in the area and start the church on the first Sunday of January.

Pastor Jeannot and his church represent our longest-running partnership, first through luvHaiti and now through ReachOut. Let’s join together as a church to pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
