Amid Unrest, Hope Prevails

November 13, 2019

Last Sunday we were able to share a video update from Pastor Jeannot, regarding the current political situation in the Haiti and the added challenges that the population is facing. Due to safety concerns, Petitionville Wesleyan has reduced many of their activities throughout the week, however the congregation continues to meet Sunday mornings - declaring their faith that God is in control.

Pastor Jeannot sends his thanks to Deep Water and asks for continued prayer for Petitonville and Haiti as a whole.

In spite of the conflict, we have continued to deepen our partnership with Petitionville. We’re pleased to report that over the summer, Weline, one of our long-term scholarship recipients, graduated from her nursing training. At the same time, Celebrate Recovery materials sent to Petitionville have been received and Pastor Jeannot has identified a team of individuals who are interested in championing and leading the program within the congregation. Please be praying for this team, as they prepare to minister to their community through Celebrate Recovery.
